Walworth County Visitors Bureau Adds New Group Sales Manager to Staff
Job Emphasis Will Be on Promoting Walworth County as a Destination for Group Tours
ELKHORN, Wis. — (February 5, 2009) — The Walworth County Visitors' Bureau has named Tammy Dunn as the new Group Sales Manager, effective February 9. Dunn’s primary responsibility as Group Sales Manager will be to solicit group sales accounts on the local, state, regional and national level, while looking for partnership opportunities within the county and region.
“I believe strongly in the marketability of Walworth County and I am really excited to develop this important new program,” remarks Dunn. “With the focus on group travel, we are certain to create stronger bonds throughout the area and increase valuable tourism revenue,” Dunn says. “I hope that all stakeholders will see the many benefits of belonging to the Walworth County Visitors' Bureau and being a part of this exciting endeavor.”
Dunn comes to the position with a strong tourism background. For the past four and a half years, she was Member Services Director for the Geneva Lake Area Chamber of Commerce in Lake Geneva, Wis. In this position, Dunn worked with new businesses in the area, developed and maintained membership benefits, and assisted with community events. Prior to that, she was a Travel Consultant for Jones Tour and Travel in Elkhorn, where she arranged group tours at the local, state, regional and national levels.

It will enable us to do a thorough job of promoting the many unique attractions we have in the Lake Geneva area and beyond. We are confident that with the knowledge and experience that Tammy Dunn brings to the position, she will be successful in increasing tourism throughout the County.”
Dunn attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Dunn, her husband Mike and sons Jordan and Eddie reside in Lake Geneva where her husband is president of Dunn Lumber True Value Hardware.
The Walworth County Visitors’ Bureau (WCVB), located at 203 East Walworth Street, Elkhorn, Wis., is dedicated to promoting tourism throughout Walworth County, Wisconsin.
