A Resource Fair (5:50-7 p.m.) will provide information and resources to small business owners and entrepreneurs by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Fiscal and Economic Research Center (FERC). Attendees can learn more about a student-run technology business that provides services to regional non-profits and small businesses (Wi-CITS), and find out about opportunities for connecting with student interns from UW-Whitewater.
“This event is both educational and social. It presents opportunities for businesses in our area to meet experts from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and network with members of the media who can be excellent resources,” remarks Kathleen Seeberg, Executive Director, Walworth County Visitors Bureau. “While we do hold our annual meeting and dinner at this event, it is not exclusively for members. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about area resources that are available to help promote their businesses.”
The evening includes a buffet dinner and silent auction. The cost is $40 per person, or $260 for a table for 8. To register online, go to www.visitwalworthcounty.com/dinner2009.html. For additional information, contact the Walworth County Visitors Bureau at 262-723-3980.
