Tee Off This Spring in the Lake Geneva Area
Variety of Courses Provide Golf Venues for All Skill Levels
Elkhorn, Wis. – (February 23, 2010) – With the days getting longer and the sun getting brighter, spring can’t be too far away. For many, this promise of better days to come can be summed up in one word – golf! For those avid golfing enthusiasts, the Lake Geneva area in Walworth County, Wisconsin offers golfing opportunities for everyone – from professional golfers to families spending quality time on the green. Most area golf courses open sometime between mid-March and early April, depending on the weather.
Geneva National Golf Club, located at 1221 Geneva National Avenue South, Lake Geneva, has initiated new Stay and Play packages, which are focused on the interests and needs of golfers. Trained golf reservationists are not only familiar with what the area hotels have to offer, but they can also discuss golf with guests, determine the type of hotel and price-point they are looking for, customize the package to suit the person or group and then book the reservations for golf and the room. This ensures that golfers will have the experience they are looking for both on and off the golf course.
Geneva National Golf Club has initiated another new program for 2010 focusing on
family and junior golf. Since golf is a game that naturally accommodates a professional and a beginner in the same foursome, it is a perfect activity for family members at various skill levels. To make family golf more affordable, members enjoy a “generational privilege,” for a very low annual fee of $500. Children (under 40) and grandchildren, as well as parents can be added to their membership. Call 262-245-7000 or visit www.genevanationalresort.com for more information.
