Marketing Images Grows Mustaches for Various Charities
Waukesha Marketing Agency Raises Money Through Maystache

Waukesha, Wis. – (May 6, 2009) – Marketing Images (MI), a full-service interactive and marketing communications company, is sponsoring a mustache-growing campaign to raise money for various charities, both locally and nationally, throughout the month of May. Through the 31 days of Maystache, participating MI employees (one woman and six men) are encouraging sponsors to support their "growth" and selected charities by putting “cash in the ‘stache”.

Maystache, introduced by Marketing Images, is an equal opportunity fundraising campaign to raise awareness of and gain donations for charities. Since many organizations may be struggling, MI feels that it is important not to forget the charities during these harsh economic times. On April 30, the MI “growers” had an official shave-off to remove all pre-existing facial hair and start their growth with a clean slate. On May 1, MI launched the website www.maystache.org to promote the fundraising campaign and allow people to donate money to the charities online.

The participating employees will be documenting their growth on the campaign’s website, www.maystache.org, and showing the progress of their donations to their charities on a daily basis. On June 1, the charitable organizations will be presented with the ‘staches of cash that were grown throughout the month and the grower with the highest donations will be presented with an award.

The MI growers have a goal of raising $1,000 for each of their charities. The featured charities are the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, Locks of Love, Boys and Girls Club, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Rolland Nelson Crossroads Home Hospice, and Wounded Warrior Project.
