Labelmaster President Dwight Curtis Thanks Congressman Mike Quigley and Alderman Margaret Laurino Following Plant Briefing
Visit Focuses on the Safe Handling of Hazardous Materials Shipments

CHICAGO – (March 9, 2010) – Labelmaster President Dwight Curtis today expressed the company’s appreciation to U.S. Representative Mike Quigley and Chicago Alderman Margaret Laurino following their recent visit and briefing at Labelmaster corporate headquarters at 5724 N. Pulaski Rd.

"It is encouraging to learn of Congressman Quigley and Alderman Laurino’s strong devotion to economic development and job creation in the 5th Congressional District and 39th Ward,” said Curtis. “In addition, their interest in the safe preparation and documentation of hazardous materials shipments indicates a forward-thinking commitment to this critical industry.”

Labelmaster, a manufacturer and distributer of compliance products, assists companies with the safe handling and transport of hazardous materials. The two elected leaders toured the Labelmaster manufacturing plant and discussed the complexity of properly handling and shipping hazardous materials (hazmat) with senior executives on March 1.

President Curtis and his team detailed Labelmaster’s pioneering software solution developed to assist hazmat shippers in preparing and documenting hazmat shipments. Designed to expedite the hazmat shipping process while maximizing safety and security, Labelmaster’s software solution includes identifying, classifying, describing, labeling, marking, packaging and validating the shipment against a multitude of regulations.

“Congressman Quigley and Alderman Laurino clearly ‘get it’ when it comes to the importance of hazmat safety and security,” said Dwight Curtis. “We greatly appreciate this support from our elected officials and thank them for making time to visit Labelmaster in Chicago.”
