Labelmaster's Limited Quantity Label Fulfills New Shipping Requirements for Dangerous Goods
New Label Mandatory January 1st, 2011 For Air Transportation
CHICAGO—(November 10, 2010)—Labelmaster®, a U.S.-based manufacturer of safety and regulatory compliance products, has a new Limited Quantity marking for shipping limited quantities of dangerous goods. Labels including the "Y" must be used when shipping limited quantities by air and will be mandatory on January 1st, 2011: http://www.labelmaster.com/shop/labels/regulated-markings-and-labels/2011-limited-quantity-labels.
For air transportation, the Limited Quantity label which displays the “Y” symbol must be used. Additionally, a tabbed Limited Quantity label is ideal when the proper shipping name is required to be on the package of limited quantities. For ocean transportation, the black diamond label without the “Y” symbol is used.
The Limited Quantity labels at 100mm x 100mm are required for most shipments. The 50mm x 50mm Limited Quantity labels may be used when the package is too small to hold the full-size label. A Limited Quantity placard at 273mm x 273mm is used for ocean containers.
Limited Quantity paper labels have a strong adhesion to corrugated boxes and an outstanding chemical and abrasion resistance. Limited Quantity vinyl labels are constructed of rugged 3.4-mil flexible vinyl. Limited Quantity Labels are available in paper or vinyl in rolls of 100 or 500 and packs of 25 or 50. The 273mm x 273mm placard is available in permanent or removable vinyl and sold in packs of 25. http://www.labelmaster.com/Shop/placards/markings/new-limited-quantity-markings-for-use-1-1-11
