Keystone Award Presented to Exemplary Trainer for Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Award Recognizes Substantial Contributions to Training and Safety

CHICAGO—(November 11, 2009)—Labelmaster®, a leading manufacturer and distributor of regulatory compliance products, and Hazardous Cargo Bulletin magazine presented the Keystone Award to Dick Elbourne, a Dangerous Goods (DG) training consultant based in Colchester, England, at its 4th annual Dangerous Goods Instructor’s Symposium (DGIS) in Chicago September 23-25. The award was created by Labelmaster in conjunction with Hazardous Cargo Bulletin magazine and introduced at last year’s DGIS to enhance shipping safety by recognizing significant contributions to the development of effective training in dangerous goods transportation.
 
Dick Elbourne’s achievements include developing and implementing the first effective world-wide training standard, maintaining the DG Instructors’ Web site, and many other contributions over four decades of work in Dangerous Goods training.
 
Elbourne had twenty years of Dangerous Goods training experience in many parts of the world before joining the International Air Transport Association (IATA). There he worked through the IATA Dangerous Goods Training Task Force to promote and maintain high-quality DG training standards. He continues to administer an intranet site for DG instructors worldwide at http://dginstructor.webexone.com and provides consultancy services.
