Family Service of Waukesha County Names New Executive Director
WAUKESHA, Wis. – (May 28, 2009) – Family Service of Waukesha County is pleased to announce the appointment of Teri Terrill as Executive Director.
The appointment was effective May 18, 2009, and in making the announcement, Family Service board president Tom Wittmann explained that Terrill, who had been an independent consultant specializing in non-profit development, is past president of the agency’s Board of Directors.
Teri Terrill, who oversaw the development of the Hispanic Health Plan for the Waukesha Community, served as co-chair for the coordination and planning of the Waukesha County Dental Coalition, and as a community benefit consultant for ProHealth Care, brings many years of Waukesha County community service experience to the position. In addition, Terrill’s work with the ProHealth Care’s Community Benefit Program resulted in the health system receiving two prestigious recognitions, including a national award.
“Her work with the Waukesha County Dental Coalition which included local dentists, hygienists and other public health and social service organizations, led to the creation of the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic,” Wittmann said, “an accomplishment that led to her being recognized last year as one of the 2008 Women of Distinction by the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County.”
Terrill’s past experience includes ten years as director of the Waukesha Catholic Charities office. She was also a past director of the Social and Behavioral Health Department at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and director of the Social Services Department at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.
Terrill has a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Florida State University, and is a State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
